Some homes are designed around square footage.

Others are designed around the way people actually want to live.

I’ve always believed the most meaningful spaces are the ones that invite people outside again. Places where conversations last longer, where coffee turns into evenings, where children run barefoot through the yard while the fire pit glows after sunset.

Lately I find myself drawn less to perfection and more to intention.

A simple gazebo with warm lighting.

Tropical landscaping moving in the evening breeze.

A quiet backyard designed for gathering instead of showing off.

There’s something beautiful about newer homes that still manage to feel rooted in old Florida living — relaxed, warm, personal, and connected to the outdoors.

Not every home creates a feeling.

But some do.

And when they do, people remember it.
